Welcome to the Website of the Agricultural and Forestry Engineering Department at the University of Santiago de Compostela. Our Department is housed in the Higher Polytechnic School on the Campus of Lugo. Today, the teaching staff in our department is composed of 85 members who teach a broad range of students in different courses: Agronomy Engineering, Forestry Engineering, Chemistry Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Three-Year Degree in Agronomy Engineering, Three-Year Degree in Forest Engineering, Three-Year Degree in Technical Engineering in Topographic, Three-Year Degree in Technical Public Works Engineering. The mission of the Department of Agroforestry Engineering is to continuously improve the organization and the quality of teaching and research, as well as technology transfer, not to mention the ethical, cultural and human, all within the terms of reference raised by society, the university from which we belong, and knowledge areas in which we organize. As a leading research department at the University of Santiago de Compostela, we receive substantial external support through research, development and innovation projects. These resources have enabled us to develop a broad range of research programmes aimed at transferring knowledge and improving the environment.
