Presentation
Within the framework of the activities celebrating the International Year of Astronomy, the Astronomical Observatory Ramon Maria Aller of the University of Santiago de Compostela (Galicia, Spain) is organizing an international mini-workshop, "Double and Multiple Stars: Dynamics, Physics, and Instrumentaion". The main goal is to overview the actual state and future developments in the field of binary and multiple stars. The Workshop will be held on December 10-11, 2009 in a relatively small format of 5 Invited Talks, 12 Oral Contributions and 20 posters. Due to administrative reasons, the number of participants is limited to 50. If more than 12 Contributions are submitted, the Scientific Organizing Committee (SOC) will select those to be presented at the Workshop as such or transferred to the poster session. A few support grants will be available. They will be allocated by the SOC after a careful examination of applications. We look forward to seeing you in Santiago de Compostela.
