The GI-1685 Research Group "Membrane biology and signal transduction mechanisms in applied pharmacology" (BioFarma), was created in 2005, and it comprises two research areas, Cellular Biology area, located at the School of Biology, and a Pharmacology area, located at the CIMUS Building, both from Santiago de Compostela University.

BioFarma is a trans-departamental group with multidisciplinary researchers, experts in different fields like biology, pharmacology, chemistry, bioinformatics.
