The 8th symposium will be arranged in Santiago de Compostela, Spain. April 26-29, 2010 at the campus of the University of Santiago de Compostela. Studies on individual viruses of lower vertebrates have yielded substantial insights into important features of their biology particularly their molecular features have advanced significantly after molecular biological techniques have been employed. The 8th ISVLV will create a new opportunity to discuss recent advances in our understanding of molecular virology, disease pathogenesis and environmental virology of lower vertebrates. We hope that many virologists will join for the 8th ISVLV. The event will give scientists interested in viruses of amphibians, reptiles and fish the opportunity to discuss recent research findings in a fruitful, friendly atmosphere. The scientific program will include sessions on virus characterisation and strain differentiation, pathogenesis, immunity, structural biology, molecular biology, virus evolution and emerging viruses of lower vertebrates, in addition we would like to focus on validation and standardization of diagnostic methods. We look forward seeing you at Santiago |
