Contributed lectures and posters
Outstanding scientists will be invited to give contributed lectures.
All participants are invited to present posters on any aspect of the topics covered by the IWMM. Only one communication per regular participant may be admitted. All authors wishing to present a communication should send a one page Abstract before 1 March 2010 to the Secretary.
Abstract submission
All abstracts have to be submitted in the official congress language English
Abstract must not exceed 1 page of size A4 (210 x 297 mm).
Right and left external margins have to be set at 30 mm, top and bottom margins at 40 mm.
Use a 10pt Arial with line spacing 14pt, justified, except otherwise noted.
To avoid character corruption, any special characters should be entered using either Arial or Symbol font.
The abstract title should be in capitals, Arial 12pt bold and centered. The title should not be longer than three lines.
List author’s name(s) preceded by full first name and separated by comma, underlining name of presenter (Arial 11pt bold, centered and line spacing 14pt). If needed, relate each name to the respective institution by an identification symbol.
List institution(s) (Arial 10pt, italic, line spacing 14pt). Each institution should start a new line.
Separate title, author names and names of institutions by a blank line.
Separate the names of institutions and the body text by two blank lines.
All figures (only grey scale) should be embedded in the Word document. Use Figure Labels: Arial 9pt Bold.
Use ACS 1996 document settings if possible (ChemDraw) for drawing of chemicals structures and schemes.
References should be listed at the end of the document, separated by two blank lines from the body text (Arial 9pt, line spacing 10 pt). They should be numbered, and each reference should start a new line. All references in the reference list should be cited in the text of the abstract. Use journal abbreviations; do not cite the title of articles.
Abstract must be saved in the rich text format (rtf). [In your word processing program, go to the file menu and choose Save As. Change the type to Rich Text Format (RTF).]
Please send the abstract as an email attachment to the Secretary.
Abstracts received after the deadline will not be accepted. Abstract editing is the responsibility of the author. Abstracts will be published as received. Accepted abstracts will be printed in the Book of Abstracts that will be distributed during the Congress.
