EHEA at the Centres

Looking froward to 2010, USC centres are actively involved in the process of change which means the convergence with the European university. The role of the members of the USC university community is reflected not only in its effort to adapt to the way of acting of the rest of the European Union member states, but mainly because it is participating in the different combined actions that are being developed in the national and international field, and because exemplifying experiences that can help to clarify the way are being developed.

To this effect important steps are being taken:

Compatibility and Flexibility: Harmonization of Structures

The continuing education and learning along the whole life (Long Life Learning) within this new education area involves other ways of understanding the divisions between the academic and the working life.

By taking a flexible, comprehensible and comparable system of degrees among all the member states, the intention is to promote the students mobility among states and new occupational opportunities.

The implementation of the Diploma Supplement  means an essential instrument in order to achieve the comparability and validation among studies of the whole EU.

The Spanish universities in general and the USC in particular are participating in the reorganization of the current degrees, through several state networks, under the assistance and supervision of quality agencies.

Transparency and Quality

The improvement of quality in all the fields of the university life is joining the efforts in all universities, promoting a review and optimization of the resources and services with an eye on its accreditation.
