Within Europe, the conference of European Higher Education Ministers in Bergen with the publication of the communiqué:
The European Higher Education Area. Achieving the Goals [pdf - 72Kb], has establishes the guidelines for 2007-2010 .
In full process of adaptation of higher education to the new European model, the approval of the Royal Decree 1393/2007 introduces a new legislative framework which establishes the structure of the new university degrees in three levels: degree, master and doctorate (Presentation of the RD 1393/2007)
In order to establish the basic lines for the development of this legislative framework, the Council of University Coordination published the Guidelines for the introduction of the degree and postgraduate Studies [PDF - 53 KB].
Nowadays, the University of Santiago is working on the design of the new degrees adapted to the EHEA. The goal by 2010 is having a wide, attractive and quality offer responding to the demands of the current society.
