International USC

11_iniciativas 1 ing

In the present internationalization of all university institutions, the University Cooperation for Development programme is a specific dimension that demands commitment from all institutions dedicated to education and research and the creation of projects aimed at the sustainable development of the countries involved.

The USC has a social commitment specified in its Social Responsibility Report and in the specific actions for Cooperation developed by the Vicerectorate for International Policies. This initiative is proving successful in terms of participation in International Cooperation Programmes and in the creation of programmes with other institutions, businesses and social organizations that coordinate various cooperation projects. As a member of CRUE, the USC upholds the University Code of Conduct as regards Cooperation for Development.

The Vicerrectorate has created the Cooperation Group, in which different members of the university participate in tasks such as coordination of actions, provision of support for all those who wish to participate, and establishment of strategies for providing information and advice about different initiatives.

Various organizations within the different Public Administrations periodically publish calls for grants:

The Spanish Agency for International Cooperation and Development (AECID), ascribed to the Ministry of External Affairs and Cooperation via the Secretary for International Cooperation.
