International USC

1_servicios 4 ing

The USC offers training in different languages to the university community and to any interested outsiders, by accredited courses with internationally recognized titles held at various centres and by different services. A wide range of programmes is available, with flexible hours and modes of attendance, and the programmes are supported by diverse educational resources.

These activities support the mobility actions by responding to the demand for training in different languages with correct preparation and the corresponding accreditation, and also by meeting the needs of visiting students from other countries who wish to learn more about the languages and culture of Galicia and Spain.

Modern Language Centre (CLM)

The Modern Language Centre (CLM) organizes courses in several modern languages, with the aim of achieving written and oral fluency in the languages.

The courses are mainly aimed at members of the university community, although anyone over 16 years interested in learning a new language can matriculate for the courses.

The CLM is the delegated Galician examination centre for the Goethe Institut’s "ZD" and "ZMP" exams for German as a foreign language.

Foreign students studying in Galicia may sit the exams for the Starting Certificate, Basic Diploma and Advanced Diploma in Spanish as a foreign language (DELE) (drawn up by the Spanish Ministry of Education through the Cervantes Institute) in the CLM, which is one of the authorized centres. The exams are held twice a year (in May and November). The CLM also organizes "Preparatory courses for DELE exams".
