Student in receipt of grants from other exchange programmes such as Erasmus, or those able to study at the USC as a result of bilateral agreements between the USC and other universities cannot participate in the Visiting Students Programme.

The conditions of the programme are more flexible than those of other programmes, and the offer is open throughout the academic year. Although there are no fixed closing dates, it is recommended that applications are made at least one month before the start of the stay at the University of Santiago.

National and foreign students should send their applications for the Visiting Students Programme to: Director del Servicio de Gestión Académica (Pabellón Estudiantil. Campus Sur. 15782. Santiago de Compostela). Once the application has been approved, the student will be notified (preferably by email).

All students must have complete health insurance (civil liability insurance is not required). Students from EU member countries should obtain a free European Health Insurance card (EHIC) in their country of origin. Applicants from other countries must obtain private health insurance, either in their home country or in Spain, before matriculating at the university.

Students from countries outside of the European Union should contact their nearest Spanish Embassy or Consulate to obtain information about conditions for legal entry to Spain. These students will receive a letter of acceptance to help them obtain a student visa.
