He holds a full professor position in Medieval German Literature and Language. He earned his bachelor’s degree in English and German Philology from Universitat de Barcelona (1988) and his doctorate in German Philology from the University of Tübingen (1992). Professor at USC since 1993. He was awarded the Galician Research Price in 1985 for the best scientific paper in Humanities and was a ‘Fellow’ of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation (2001-2002).
