Requirements to carry out a research stage

To carry out a research stage it is necessary to have access to the Library Concepcion Arenal, where IDIUS collection is kept and can be consulted.

Library access

It is fundamental requirement:
  • A document where the IDIUS or any of their lecturers agrees with the application of the researcher to carry out the stage.
  • A document where the IDIUS or any of their lecturers invites the researcher to carry out the stage.
Once this requirement has been accomplished, two hypotheses may be distinguished:
  • SHORT STAGES (no longer than one month): there are some working places in the readings rooms of the Library that are not permanently assigned to any researcher. These working places can be used freely by short stage researchers.
  • UP TO ONE MONTH STAGES: in this case the researcher can be assigned a permanent working place during de research stage. The working place shall be requested at the Library desk in person. The assignment of a permanent working place depends on the Library’s space availability. If there were no free working places at the moment of the request, it will be included in the waiting list and in the meanwhile, the researcher could use one of the non permanent working places.
