Sections I, III and IV: maximum of 32 pages including footnotes; Section II, 20 pages; Section VIII, 5 pages; Section IX Reviews, 5 pages; Bibliographical notes, half a page.
Authors submitting articles for inclusion in sections I, II, III and IV of ADI, should include an abstract in Spanish no longer than 15 lines. An English version of the abstract should be also provided and at least three key words (in Spanish and English) in order to facilitate their inclusion on databases.
It will also be necessary to include a summary listing the epigraphs of the article, both in English and in the original language (if the article is originally written in English, the summary will also be included in Spanish).
Authors must indicate their professional status (Dr.Iur., Professor, Lawyer, Judge, etc.) and the name of the institution or organisation they belong. This information should be indicated in a footnote with the (*) symbol, and will be stated after the authors’ name at the beginning of each article. A post or e-mail address must also be provided.
Notwithstanding submissions in paper format could be accepted, all articles must be necessarily submitted in an electronic file, in Word or equivalent format and complying with the following requirements:

Abbreviations listed in the ADI index are of mandatory use. Any initials corresponding to journals, periodicals or legal texts not included on this list must be specified in a footnote at the start of the article.
References to monographs should be made as follows: Initial of the author’s first name, (in small caps), Author’s surname(s), Title of the work (in italics), Place of publication, Publisher, Year, pages. (e.g. Mª M. MAROÑO GARGALLO, La protección jurídica de las denominaciones de origen en el derecho español y comunitario, Marcial Pons, Madrid, 2002, page 68).
References to works published in journals should be made as follows: Initial of the author’s first name (in small caps); Author’s surname(s); Title of the work (in single inverted commas); Journal abbreviation if listed in the index (if not, the full title must be given in small caps); Volume and issue No. (where appropriate); Year (in brackets); First page of the article and the specific page quoted in brackets. (e.g. V. DI CATALDO ‘El nuevo código de la propiedad industrial italiano’ ADI 26 (2005-2006), pages 101 and successive (104)). Once a first reference has been made to an article in a journal, it will not be necessary to repeat the title of the article for consecutive references, and it will be enough to include the bibliographical letterhead with the page referred.
Original articles submitted that fail to comply with these instructions shall be returned to their authors for the corresponding modifications or additions. If these are not made within the specified time period the article will not be published. In all cases, the Editors reserve the right to make the corresponding corrections in order to ensure compliance with these instructions in those specific cases where the publication of the article would be considered to be a priority due to the interest or the value of its contents, regardless of any formal defects.
