The Modern Language Centre of USC offers semester, semiintensive and intensive Spanish language courses to foreign students on exchange programmes and to all interested people over 16 years of age. All courses require 40 hours of classroom attendance and 60 hours of independent study. They are organized according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). These courses emphasize on communication skills - both receptive and productive.
Likewise, the CLM offers two courses intended for any interested persons, regardless of whether or not they are a member of the USC community: a Preparatory Course for the DELE Exam B2 , C1, a Course of Spanish Civilisation and Culture and a Course of the Literature and Culture through Cinema.
The Modern Language Centre (CLM) of the University of Santiago de Compostela would like to welcome all foreign students who will be studying with us this coming course in our Santiago Campus or our Lugo Campus.
The CLM has its main office on the first floor in the Casa de los Catedráticos, in the Campus Vida. Spanish classes are normally given in several locations spread throughout the university. At the Lugo Campus, our main office is on the ground floor of the Humanities Faculty.
More than 600 foreign students learn Spanish, or improve their competency in the language, at the CLM. All of our professors have enjoyed long professional careers teaching Spanish as a foreign language and our center also offers many resourses to aid language learning.
If you have any doubts or would like to receive more information about the Modern Language Centre, feel free to contact us through e-mail, telephone, or directly to the secretary of the CLM.
We hope that your experience at our language centre is as positive from an academic point of view as it is from a personal one.
See yoy soon!
