The Japanese Language Proficiency Test is known by the name "NOKEN (Nihongo nōryoku shiken)” in Spain. It is normally taken to validate knowledge of the Japanese language. The NOKEN exam is accredited and organized at a worldwide level by the Japan Foundation and the Japan Educational Exchanges and Services (JEES), both of which are official cultural organizations of the Japanese Government. The NOKEN exam is offered once a year in Spain and is normally on the first Sunday of December every year.
