This service is responsible for the real property infraestructure of the university including 82 buildings in an area of 465.172 m2 and an extension of 68 hectares disbributed across the different campuses. It comprises the following units:
Department of Existing Infrastructures: It deals with the maintenance and repairing needs of the USC buildings in service. This department designs and supervises the works carried out at both the two Campuses of the USC: Santiago (South Campus and North Campus-Historical Centre) and Lugo Campus.
Department of New Infrastructures: The department materializes the pluriannual programme of the USC infrastructures by establishing technical prescriptions, designing urban and architecture projects and supervising specific works.
Department of Gardening: It is in charge of the maintenance and creation of new green areas in the Campuses of Compostela.
Department of Carpentry: Three professional experts work on repairing the wood furniture of the buildings as well as making small wood furniture pieces.
