The USC is implementing a content management tool to enable users to update and keep the pages making up the USC website.
The above-mentioned tool allows any auhorized user to make changes in the pages, with no need to learn programming languages, the use of new tools and without installing programs in his/her computer.
As for centres and departments, the tool already includes Xescampus data, in such a way that those people responsible can add contents to the current sites of the institutional webs.
The tool is a free software applicaton to be used in the whole USC website in order to, among other things, be able to centralize support to users and to make possible that the developments implemented benefit the rest of users.
Those users who want to start working with the content management tool must apply for a user account in a private server to, after a probationary period with the tool, been given their account in the "visible" web server.
This tutorial consists of explanatory videos on the functioning of the tool and PDF documents that users can download to work with a printed version of them.
