Registration and general rules
Target group
The activities of the Training and Teaching Innovation Program (TTIP) are intended for the Teaching and Research Staff (TRS) of the University of Santiago de Compostela.
Registration periods
For the call of the general offer corresponding to the 2009-2010 academic year there are three registration periods:
- From 8 October 2008, for courses starting in October, November and December.
- From 9 January 2009, for courses starting in January, February and March.
- From 23 April 2009, for courses starting in April, May and June.
The registration for each course will be closed five days before its beginning.
The course programming for the general offer in 2009-2010 may vary due to the addition of new courses or cancellation of courses due to low registration.
Registration procedure
Registration in TTIP courses is done on-line. The link to the registration page is in the Programación Oferta Xeral 2009-2010 (General Programming for 2009-2010). Once you have entered, you will be presented with a list of courses available.
In this course list you will find general information about each one, as well as links to view: "text of the Call," "view list" and another link to start the registration process. By clicking on "matricularme" ("how to register"), a screen will be displayed to authenticate yourself. At this stage the following three cases may occur:
-
In the authentication screen, if you have access to the virtual secretary for teachers you must click on the link Secretaría Virtual do PDI (Virtual Secretary for the Teaching and Research Staff) where you will find a menu option to start the registration process.
-
If you do not have access to the Virtual Secretary, you can create an account by entering your ID and password as explained in the message on the screen. After entering this information, you will be asked to confirm your password by repeating password entered, email and date of birth. After this step, you will be told if you can enroll in the course and complete the registration, which is automatic for people included in the POD (Faculty Organization Plan) for the last 3 years.
-
The rest of PDI (Teaching and Research Staff) who did not participate in the POD (Faculty Organization Plan) in any of the following academic years 2005-06, 2006-07 or 2007-08 will follow the same procedure as in paragraph above, but registration will go through a review process. If you belong to this group, you must send a certificate by the Director of Department or Institute indicating your status in the University.
Once the registration is saved, the system will notify if you are admitted or have been placed on a waiting list. Registrations will be processed according to chronological order of application entry.
Limited admission
No more than seven courses of the General Programming for 2009-2010 can be taken.
Waivers
People admitted to a course who can not attend must notify the TTIP (via e-mail), in order to offer his/her place to people on the waiting list. Waivers must take place with at least four days before the beginning date of the course.
