Description
The Rof Codina Clinical Veterinary Hospital of the Veterinary Faculty, of the USC was born under the protection of the Rof Codina Foundation set up in May 1994.
This university hospital has the following general aims:
- To improve the teaching of the Veterinary Faculty by using its facilities and all the clinical casuistics, as well as other more specialized teaching of the different bio health occupations.
- To be leaders in care and welfare of patients, offering high quality health services to both owners and veterinarians.
- Boost to clinical research and scientific innovation, of Biomedical and Experimental Sciences.
The Rof Codina Clinical Veterinary Hospital is divided into various services and specialties, aiming at 3 groups of patients: small exotic animals, rental animals and equines.
Annual casuistics is higher than 8.000 cases. In the itinerant clinical training 200 students will complete practicals visiting half a hundred farms with more than 2000 meat and dairy animals.
The equipment and specialization of teachers and doctors of the RC-CVH, make it a reference centre in Northwest Spain and, as a result, of support to all health professionals.
