Vice-rectorship for Students and Continuing Education 

Introduction

The Self-Employment Area is created in 2000, currently being in the framework of the agreement celebrated in 2006 between the Regional Ministry of Work and the three Galician universities.

Since then, the Self-Employment Area of the University of Santiago de Compostela, belonging to the Vicer-rectorshiop for Students and Continuing Education, offers a comprehensive service to all the members of the university community that has some interest related to self-employment and the creation of businesses. The Area is included within the Plan for the Creation of Businesses of the USC (Uniemprende) and the Network of Business Technicians of Galicia of the Regional Ministry of Work of the Xunta de Galicia.

• Legal, financial and labour information for the creation and starting of businesses.
• Information about aids, grants and financial support for the creation of new businesses.
• Advice for the drawing up of the business plan.
• Analysis of the economic-financial feasibility of business projects.
• Activities of circulation, formation and promotion of the enterprising culture.
