Laboratory of Energy and Meteorological Characterization

The laboratory of energy and meteorological characterization (LACEM) is established, with the support of MeteoGalicia, in response to the need for control methods that prove the excellence of the measurements provided by instruments.

The continuous increase in the use of atmospheric variables in sectors and areas as diverse as energy, climate and hydrological among many others, demonstrates the growing need for a service that guarantees the high quality and reliability of the measuring of atmospheric data.

The renewable energy sector joins that need, which becomes a legal requirement in larger installations.

The services we offer are:

➢ Calibration of meteorological instruments: temperature and humidity probes, barometers, rain gauges and pyranometers.

➢ Characterization and testing in energy systems: solar panels, regulators and accumulators, thermal and geothermal systems.

➢ Consultancy in the design and installation of meteorological monitoring networks.

➢ Energy consultancy: system design, energy audit and energy management.

➢ Technical Training.
