The San Clemente Residence Hall, located at the Rodríguez Cadarso square (South Campus) is the second building of Jenaro de la Fuente's project.
Since its construction in 1942, the hall continues a tradition, named " la clementina", which goes back to the 16th century, when the archbishop Juan de San Clemente set up the hall, settled on what is now the site of the "Rosalía de Castro" high school.
Originally it provided housing only for male students but later it became a mixed college.
Today, the San Clemente hall combines ancient tradition with modern facilities. Its location in the heart of the South Campus makes it a privileged place as it is well connected with the rest of the city by urban buses.
