Description

The primary functions of universities as responsible for the public service of higher education are teaching together with research and study.

Within the Academic Area, the Service of Academic Management and Programming has the aim of supporting the USC academic structures in order to develop an annual and comprehensive offer of higher education programs.

To accomplish this aim, the Service is organized into two sections:

Section of Academic Offer and Programs, whose main functions are to collaborate in the procedures necessary to pass, modify and renew the official curricula of first and second cycle and Postgraduate Programs, as well as those USC degree courses entrusted to the service in order to provide a comprehensive academic offer. Also, it participates in the preparation of reports on the demand for studies, result analysis and student satisfaction level.

Section of Academic Organization, whose duty is to assist the academic authorities in the annual and comprehensive management of the teaching organization programs of departments (human resources) and of the annual academic programs of the centres (facilities, spaces, classrooms) which enable to provide high-quality teaching services in the USC academic offer.
