  • Course objectives
    1- To know the Conceptual Evolution of Centres, Programmes and Social Services for Old People, from the Beneficial-attendance and the Right in Sociosanitary Attention.
    2- To be given the Information on Typology and Current Resources in Sociosanitary Attention to Old People, and the Catalogue of Services for Dependence.
    3- To acquire Basic Knowledge in Planning and Management of Centres and Gerontologic Sociosanitary Services.
    4- To manage Technical Resources for Management of Centres and Programmes.
    5- To know the Current Models of Accreditation of Centres and Services.
    6- To get the necessary Knowledge on Current Conceptual Model of Centres and Services for Old People, especially for Situations of Dependence.
    7- To learn how to design Structures of Human Resources for Centres and Services oriented to Quality.
    8- To teach in the Management of Portfolios of Gerontologic Services.
    9- To know the Services of Specialized Attention in Methodological Resources of Attention to Dependence Old People.
    10- To get a Basic Practice with the Technical Tools of Management of Centres.

    Competence
    General:
    - To approximate to the Training for the Direction and Management of Centres and Services oriented to offer Attendance Services for Old People.
    - To acquire Knowledge for the Design and Development of Management Programmes of Gerontologic Sociosanitary Services.
    - To know and to apply the necessary Instruments for the Management in Human Resources in Centres of Gerontologic Social Services.
    - To develop Strategies for the Design of Geriatric Attention Organizations.

    Specific:
    - To know the necessary Processes for the Direction and Management of Centres oriented to offer Attendance Services for Old People.
    - To learn how to implement Management Programmes of Social Services.
    - To know how to design and to plan a Program of Management based in the Individualized Valuation, The Planning of Integral Care and the Specialized Intervention through Multidisciplinary Teams.
    - To understand the Models of Attention through Quality Systems for the Accreditation of Services.

    Teaching methodology
    The Learning of this Subject will base on the Combination of the Presence Sessions of Classes and Specified Tutorials in the Official Timetables and the Realization of Non-Presence Tasks Tutored.

    It will be tutored through e-mail or Virtual Class, the Non-Presence Tasks that will consist of the Reading and Synthesis of the Information proportioned in the Classes and through the Documentation proportioned in Class so the Specific Bibliography. It will realize Developments of Non-Presence Practical Cases.

    The Presence Sessions will develop in the First Four-Month Period of the First Course, according to the established Timetable.



    Assessment system
    The Assessment will realize through the Continuum Valuation of the Students Execution during the Presence Sessions (10%), the Intervention in the Practical Cases (10%); the Attendance to Presence Tutorials (10%); and the Correction of the Written Reports and the Group Discussions. So, it will realize an Exam through Written Work in relation with the Contents of the Syllabus that will have a Weight Percentage of the 70%.
    Study time and individual work
    The Student will devote to the Study and Personal Work a Total of 50 Hours that are distributed in the next Way:
    - Presence Classes: 15 Hours.
    - Presence Tutorials in Reduced Groups: 5 Hours.
    - Tutored Work of the Student with Support of Individualized Tutorials: 15 Hours.
    - Personal Work of the Student: 15 Hours.
