  • Course objectives
    1)To have a good command of the specific language of the subject.
    2)To analyze in a critical way the evolution of the hermeneutic theories.
    3)To study the origin and the gradual consolidation of the hermeneutic concepts.
    4)To examine the most significant hermeneutic theories in the frame of the History of Philosophy.
    5)To face the texts.
    6)To have a good command of the basic sources of the subject.

    Competence
    1)To manage the language and concepts of Philosophical Hermeneutics.
    2)To become familiar with the research practice by reading philosophical texts.
    3)To be introduced into the methodology of research by the comparative analysis of texts.
    4)To be able to access to the sources of information.

    Teaching methodology
    1)Joint sessions (2 hours of theory + 1 of practices).
    2)Working sessions with the support of texts and documents (2 hours each three weeks).
    3)Text analyses (2 hours each two weeks)
    4)Presentation by the students of a issue about which they have been given documentation and a work guide (2 a semester)


    Assessment system
    1)Participation in the sessions.
    2)Handing over text analyses.
    3)Exam.
    4)Assessment of the presentations that the students have carried out.

    Study time and individual work
    Theoretical credits: 30 hours.
    Practical credits: 15 hours.
    Personal work: 67,5 hours.
    Total: 112,5 hours.

    Recommendations for the study of the subject
    1)Regular attendance and participation in the sessions.
    2)Grouping and working of the supporting material that will be given in the sessions.
    3)To manage the selection of texts from the indicated basic bibliography.
