We are pleased to announce that the Fourth International Contrastive Linguistics Conference (ICLC-4) will be held in September 20th-23rd 2005, at the University of Santiago de Compostela, Spain.

PRE-CONFERENCE WORKSHOP Linking up contrastive and learner corpus research

The workshop Linking Up Contrastive and Learner Corpus Research will be held in conjuntion with the Conference. The aim of the workshop is to bring together researchers whose work links up contrastive and learner corpus research.

Papers will have a maximum duration of 20 minutes (2500 words) with an additional 10 minutes for discussion. To ensure maximum intelligibility among the audience, they should be presented preferably in either English or Spanish (Castilian), but they may if necessary be presented in French, German or Galician.
Posters: a block of time will be designated when presenters are available to discuss their posters.

SUBMISSION INFORMATION

The following should be noted:

A participant can only present one paper, except that a maximum of two may be presented, provided both are co-authored.

The maximum number of named authors/participants per paper will be three.

In order to be accepted, abstracts must be written, presented and sent exactly as indicated below.

Section 1: Full name of author or authors (including academic title or other style of address). (Some correspondence might be addressed only to the first named).

Section 2: E-mail address, followed by postal address(es).

Section 3: University or other institution and affiliation(s) (professor, lecturer, researcher, or doctoral student).

Section 4: Title of paper, poster, round table.

Section 5: Abstract. This must be single-spaced, not more than 10 lines long and in the language in which the paper will be presented (Do not include bibliography).

Abstracts should be sent by e-mail, as word attachments, directly to the panel coordinator before 28 February 2005.

Under subject write "ICLC-4 abstract".

Please name the attachment as follows: ICLC-4 plus your full name.

After a blind refereeing process, those papers that fulfil the requirements of presentation, originality and scientific rigour will be selected for publication by the Scientific Committee.
