The 102nd Peripatetic Seminar on Sheaves and Logic (PSSL 102) will be held on the weekend of Saturday 13th – Sunday 14th of January 2018 in Santiago de Compostela, Spain. Following the tradition of the PSSL, this is intended to be an informal meeting, covering all areas of category theory and its applications. Talks by PhD students and young researchers are particularly encouraged.

Venue

We proudly bring back the PSSL to Santiago de Compostela almost 28 years after the celebration of PSSL 44 in 1989 (pictures: I and II).

It will take place at the Faculty of Mathematics, situated on the Southern Campus of the University of Santiago de Compostela (Google maps link).

Transport

  • The fastest way to get to Santiago is by plane via its international Lavacolla airport. The Lavacolla airport is 10 Km from Santiago city centre. Getting to and from the airport is relatively easy as there are shuttle buses and taxis at a reasonable price.
  • There are two other international airports in Galicia: Alvedro airport in A Coruña (60 km from Santiago) and Peinador airport in Vigo (90 Km from Santiago). Connections from A Coruña and Vigo to Santiago are easy when using the train.
  • You can also get to Santiago by train: Renfe connects Galicia with other Spanish and European cities. Most trains run via Madrid. For more information please contact Renfe directly.

The city

Santiago de Compostela, designated by the UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, is an example of historical and environmental regeneration which attracts millions of visitors because of its uniqueness, its gastronomy the beauty of the landscape and the famous Camino de Santiago . Cultural and administrative capital of Galicia, is also a center of institutional services, with a prime location in the Atlantic Axis.
