The second Iberoamerican Symposium on Organic Chemistry (SIBEAQO-II) will be held in Santiago de Compostela, Spain, from September 8 to 12, 2010, coinciding with the Compostela Holy Year. The start of the Symposium and the Welcome Reception will be on September 8, 2010 (second circular).

The aim of this symposium is the creation of a scientific forum for researchers of Organic Chemistry and related fields of Iberoamerica, Spain and Portugal to promote their collaboration and encourage their mobility. This meeting is a continuation of the First Iberoamerican Symposium of Organic Chemistry, held between 11 and November 16, 2007 in Mar del Plata, Argentina, attended by 150 participants.

The Symposium will be held at the University of Santiago de Compostela, founded 514 years ago. Santiago de Compostela, a city of 100,000 inhabitants, is located in the northwest of Spain and has an international airport, 15 km from Campus Universitario Sur. Santiago de Compostela is the capital of the Spanish Autonomous Community of Galicia.
