During the symposium there will be organized several special social events for participants and their companions, including a Welcoming Reception at the Pazo de Fonseca, a visit to the cathedral in the manner of pilgrims with the performance of botafumeiro (a giant censor), a Traditional Galician party (Romeria) with pulpo á feira, queimada and featuring local Galician bagpipers. Also a guided tour of the historic buildings of the Universidad de Santiago and an optional excursion to the Ribeira Sacra. Check the registration form for more information. |
