Transportation

There are direct flights to Santiago (airport Lavacolla) from Madrid, Barcelona and several European cities. Transport to the city from the airport can be by taxi (20 €) or bus (Freire Company, 5 €).

Alternatively, you can use the airports of Vigo (Peinador) or La Coruña (Alvedro) situated less than 100 Kms of Santiago. Madrid is far from Santiago (about 600 kms by motorway, approximately 6 h), and Oporto about 250 Kms (2.5 h).

Weather

The weather in Santiago in September is usually mild and sunny with average temperatures of 24º C (maximum) and 14º C (minimum) and few rainy days. The days are long and the participants will have ample opportunities to enjoy the many streets of the town and its Romanesque cathedral.
