OBJETIVES
The objective of the International Sectoral Economy programme is the education of
economic advisers with a high standard of general and sectoral quantitative analysis, both at enterprises internal level and at external enviroment level. This perspective is a necessity in a concurrential enviroment where the enterprises cannot neglect what is happening in their own branches of activity and in the others at national and international levels. In order to meet this objective, the course encourages active attitudes of literature surveyance, working in teams, realization of applyed quantitative analysis and the development of human values adecuated to high standard education.
CONDITIONS OF ADMISSION
Applicants for the master course should hold an University degree in economics, business administration, engineering or other degrees
with soio-economic profile, interested in econonomic development studies.
Candidate need to know spanish, becose most of lectures are in spanish: English,
french or other languages can be used for reading.
APPLICATIONS
Tution fees amount to 1.900 euros for master programme. Fees, which are supported by the Conselleria de Economia e Facenda de la Xunta de Galicia, may be paid in two installments.

FOREING S STUDENTES
Applications for the master and diploma may be made at any time along the year. Short stage are wellcome, specially with the Universities that have a bilateral
agreement with the University of Santiago de Compostela. The course has an
international atmosphere with many students becoming from Latin American
countries and other areas.
ENROLLMENT STRUCTURE OF THE PROGRAMME
1. Student must follow 20/50 credits for the degree of diploma/master
2. Students should participate in the practical lessons and seminars, according to the proposals of the director.
3. Assesment will be made as a whole, assesing attendance and participation at lectures and seminars and other merits obtained in the complementary activities
ESI PROGRAMME
The diploma will have 20 theoretical and practical credits (equivalent to 200 hours), corresponding to courses 1 to 5. Master programme will have 500 hours from which between 10 and 20% will correspond to: a dissertation, trainning in entrerprises or complementary courses at other universities. The main part of the programme, from 400 to 460 hours, will correpond to the following courses:
Course 1.International
socioeconomic panorama. Analysis of the economic development processes in the XX
century and perspectives for the XXI century at world-wide level. (40)
Course 2 European Economy. Situation of production, employment and consumption in the
countries and regions of European Union. Foreign trade and Community law. (60)
Course 3 Industrial Economy. Industry competitiviness. Analysis of industrial sectors: manufacturing of consumption goods, machinery and transport equipment, Chemist industry. Industrial law. Industrial, enviromental and technological policies (60).
Course 4 Management: Planning, organization and human resources (20).
Course 5 Econometric Methods and computer applications I. Initiation to the
computer science use of the econométrica methodology and applications of
Internet to the economy (20).
Course 6 Applied Econometry I. Regional and sectorial models, economic
development, use and investment (40)
Course 7 Financial and Superior accounting: accounting of costs, financial
analysis, and sectorial applications (40)
Course 8 Analysis and assesment of investments (20).
Course 9 International and Spanish Financial Sistems (20).
Course 10 Applied Statistic: sampling, statistical sources and multivariant
applications (40).
Course 11 Methods Computer science Econométricos and Aplicaciones II
Advances in the use of computer science programs, technical econométricas and
applications of Internet to the economy (20)
Course 12 Applied Econometry II Models of productivity applied to agriculture, the industry and the
commerce.
Models of Consumption, House, Foreign trade, sectorial Transport the
International, Tourism and other applications (20)
Course 13-15 Evolution and international perspective of Latin America, North America, Europe, Africa, Asia and other areas. (20)
