Important rules for authors: journals AEID and RSES, year 2011
|
General statement: The Editorial team and referees work for free and are very busy. We try to help authors and do our best but we cannot promise punctuality in printed edition nor avoid failures. We expect a kind relation from authors and their support to our journals in several ways: fostering institutional subscription, fostering on line readership of our articles, citing some interesting articles of our journals when they publish in other journals, including a link from their Websites to our journals Website or in other ways. Please respect these important rules: 1) Article submission: main contents, data visibility, citations and several articles a) Main contents and conclusions. The main emphasis of our journals is on research relevant for economic development and not only on mechanical application of econometric tests. It means that articles should include conclusions of interest for economic policies. Uroot, cointegration and other tests usually should not appear in the main text but they may be included in an Annex. Total number of pages of the printed edition should be between 8 and 14 pages in the journal format (on line Annexes may include other supplementary contents). b) Data visibility: selected tables and/or graphs with figures of the main variables and clear definition of variables and sources are required. c) Citations: Citation of some interesting articles previously published in our journals, and in other ones, is required, as we understand that a journal must be a set of related articles trying to advance knowledge. d) Submission of several articles: Authors should not submit a new article while they have another article under revision and not yet accepted. Usually we cannot review more than 2 articles per author and year. 2) After submission: Acknowledgement, acceptance at Status, authors´ support and fee a) Acknowledgement and first evaluation: Usually the Editor acknowledges receipt within one or two weeks, with a first evaluation. Usually the first screening implies acceptance of the article. for publication if authors agree with the main suggestions for revision. Acceptances are announced regularly in the updates of this Status section. Non acceptances are usually communicated within 1 and 3 months after submission and do not imply a negative evaluation but only that the article does not reach enough priority for publication, giving the limitation in the number of articles that we can publish per year. b) Acceptances listed at the Status: After the reviewing process, accepted articles appear announced at the Status page, usually within three months after receipt. In a few cases the title of the article appears in the Index slightly changed, as for the Editor suggestion, in order to make it more precise and informative for readers. We understand that authors accept the change in title unless they write suggesting other options. c) Acceptance fee: Authors from institutions subscribed, at least to one of our journals, do not have to pay the fee when they publish in any of both journals. Acceptance fee for year 2012 amounts to 45 Euros per author in case of journal AEID and 30 Euros per author in journal RSES. One complimentary printed copy is usually delivered to authors who belong to subscribed institutions or have paid the fee, if they send their postal address to the Editor. Authors receive instruction for payment after their articles appear announced at this Status section. A few waivers may be applied in case of more than 2 authors or low income countries. |
