Abstract: The main aim of this paper is
make an exposition of some basic characteristics of family business, in particular
case for our Autonomous Galician Community in depth talking about the birthright
criterion like the traditional choice access to CEO’s position in the
family business and the existence of clearly-defined succession plans. The
initial point in this paper is based on a Galician family business sample,
obtained from the ARDAN database that we send an inquiry figure which shows
a few aspects of succession process.
