Vila Nova de Cerveira
The Municipality of Vila Nova de Cerveira is located in the north of Portugal and belongs to the district of Viana do Castelo. Its extension is 108,5 Km2 and it has a population of 8.923 people, of which 1.400 live in the main village.
The archeological sites point to an occupation as early as the Bronze Age, and the current municipality was established in the Middle Ages. It lies at the shore of the river Miño, which can be seen from the overlook at the top of the Hill of the Castro.

HOW TO ARRIVE
- By road:
The main entry is the N13 road, which can be accessed from the portuguese highway A3. this highway joins to the north in Galicia with the A55 highway, which connects with the main galician cities through the AP9 toll highway. The A3 continues to the south towards the city of Braga and then towards Porto.
- By plane:
Vila Nova de Cerveira can be reached by plane using the airports of Santiago, Vigo, and Porto, and by train or bus from them.
- By train or bus:
You can travel from Vigo to Vila Nova de Cerveira by train or bus, transfering in Valença do Minho. In addition to this there are scheduled trains and buses from the stations of Porto.
