Collaborations

We are collaborating with the Femtosecond Spectroscopy group at the Humboldt University in Berlin (Prof. Nikolaus P. Ernsting and Dr. Sergey Kovalenko) on studies aimed to unravel basic aspects of the dynamics of ultrafast proton-transfer reactions and solvation processes.

We are collaborating with the Supramolecular and Biological Chemistry group at the University of Santiago de Compostela (Prof. José L. Mascareñas and Prof. Juan R. Granja) to identify and control supramolecular interactions in DNA, peptide nanotubes and other species, employing spectroscopic techniques.

We collaborate with the Single-Molecule Biophysics and Fluorescence Spectroscopy group at the University of St. Andrews (Dr. Carlos Penedo) on investigations directed to the design of new proton-transfer probes as sensors in biological processes.

Our collaboration with the Organometallic Catalysis and Organic Molecular Materials group at the University of Santiago de Compostela (Prof. Enrique Guitián and Prof. Dolores Pérez) is directed to the study of new molecular materials based on polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons.

We collaborate with the Quantum Chemistry group at the University of Santiago de Compostela (Prof. Berta Fernández) with the aim of better understanding the structure and electronic properties of the molecular systems and complexes studied in our group by means of quantum mechanical calculations.
