We are seeking for a highly motivated PhD candidate to join the Montenegro Lab and carry out a doctoral thesis focused on the synthesis, functionalization, and evaluation of boron clusters and chaotropic systems for their application in molecular transport and antimicrobial therapies.

STARTING DATE
November 2025 (starting date could be flexible)
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) of at least 300 ECTS credits European Credit Transfer System, or less than 300 ECTS with a university master's degree, in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology or similar.
Candidates must meet the eligibility requirements for enrollment in the University of Santiago de Compostela's Doctoral Programme in Drug Research and Development for the 2025/2026 academic year.
Previous experience in organic synthesis, spectroscopy (NMR, UV-Vis, fluorescence) and DLS.
Experience in in vitro studies (cell culture, cytotoxicity, permeability)
