Within the program of social projection of CIQUS, on 16 February we received the visit of the "Parents School" of the Compañía de María College (Santiago de Compostela). The event included a guided tour to the center's facilities, experiments and demonstrations, a talk about the scientific activity of the center and, finally, a discussion with researchers. The meeting provided an opportunity to address issues like the importance of scientific knowledge as a core competency in education, career opportunities in the field of chemistry or the particular features of the scientific career
