Sixteen pre-doctoral and post-doctoral researchers from CiQUS participated this week in the course "Beyond the Bench: Career Development for Scientists". Through this training activity, the Centre aims to support its researchers before the decisive moment of facing the definition of their professional future.
During the two-day course, given by Dr. Gavin Lucas and Dr. Tobias Maier (ThePaperMill), participants will have the opportunity to learn about different tools and strategies to improve their competitive profile in the labour market. New proposals range from the development of an intellectual framework for decision making when defining their future career, to practical help and simulation exercises related to the corresponding application and selection processes, both within and outside the academic environment.
