Ramón y Cajal Researcher

Degree in Biochemistry from the University of Zaragoza (UZ, 2006) and M.Sc. in Molecular and Cellular Biology (UZ, 2009). She carried out her PhD at the Institute of Nanoscience of Aragon (INA, UZ, 2013) under the supervision of Prof. J.M. de la Fuente and Prof. J. Santamaría.

In 2013 she join the group of Prof. K. Dawson at Center for BioNano Interactions (CBNI, University College Dublin) as postdoctoral researcher. Her research focused on the bionano-interactions, understanding the interactions between NPs and biological entities.

In 2017, she moved to the Center for Research in Biological Chemistry and Molecular Materials (CiQUS) at the University of Santiago de Compostela, as a research fellow of the Campus-Vida international postdoctoral program (2017-2018). Then she was awarded with a Juan de la Cierva -Incorporación contract (Chemistry panel, 2016 call) and later on with a Ramon y Cajal contract (Chemistry panel, 2019 call).  Her research interests are focuses on the development of smart biomimetic nanomaterials for biomedical applications.
