Felix Freire (Ramón y Cajal Researcher, 2010) was the winner of V SUSCHEM Award in the category of “Postdoc”, to the best scientific publication in 2012. The winning research had been not only selected as front cover on the prestigious Journal of the American Chemical Society, but also ranked as one of the most prominent among those recently published: “Nanospheres with tuneable size and chirality from helical polymer-metal complexes”.
Martín Fañanás (Ramón y Cajal Researcher, 2014) has been recently awarded with the Thieme Chemistry Journal Award 2015, a prize given by the editorial boards of scientific journals Synlett, Synthesis, and Synfacts which every year rewards 60 promising young professors at the beginning of their career all around the world.
This symposium will bring together scientists with expertise in organic chemistry and related areas, namely homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysis, synthesis, molecular design, materials chemistry and medicinal chemistry. The aim of this conference is not only to share the most recent findings, but also to stimulate discussions on current trends in the field and to foster new collaborations.
