CiQUS researcher Eddy Sotelo will participate as invited speaker in the International Symposium “Adenosine Receptors: Present and Future Challenges”, which will be held March 2-3, 2015 at Uppsala University, Sweden.

Organized within the framework of the European Network GLISTEN, this workshop will bring together an international forum of experts in the fields of medicinal chemistry, pharmacology, physiology, and structural biology, of the adenosine receptor family.

Among them, it is important to highlight renowned scientists as Kenneth Jacobson, from NIH (National Institutes of Health, USA) or Ad Ijzerman, from Leiden University (Netherlands). There will be also some representatives from the business sector, with companies as Heptares or Cellaura.

E. Sotelo will present his conference on the initial session, during a monographic about Medicinal Chemistry in which he will give a lecture entitled “Multicomponent-Assisted Modulation of Adenosine Receptors: Evolutionary Approaches for Ligand Discovery and Molecular Probes Assembly”.

This Symposium is organized by the Karolinska Institutet and Uppsala Universitet, within the framework of the COST Action GLISTEN; Cost Actions anre the longest-running European framework supporting trans-national cooperation among researchers, engineers and scholars across Europe.

All the information about the speakers, as well as the full content of this workshop, may be consulted on the Official Program.
