Nobel Prize winner Ben Feringa seduces with his inspiring speech at CiQUS an audience formed mainly by high school students.
CiQUS hosted yesterday in the afternoon a meeting between the Nobel Prize for Chemistry 2016, Ben Feringa, and high school students from different secondary schools in Galicia.
The event, organized by USC's research center in the framework of a visit sponsored by CiQUS itself, brought together numerous participants, mainly young people, who were encouraged by the Dutch scientist to «follow the path of adventure and discovery» that represents the research career.
After a brief talk in which he summarized the keys of his work in recent years before becoming one of the fathers of the "molecular machines", and that have led him to receive the prestigious recognition of the Swedish Academy, Feringa participated in a extensive discussion with the students, who did not hesitate to ask him about his career, his insights about the potential applications of his discoveries or how to focus a professional career oriented to the scientific field.
