Proffesor Matthew Gaunt opens at CIQUS the lecture series “Frontiers in Science”

21/05/2012

Professor Matthew Gaunt, from the University of Cambridge, is one of the most outstanding emerging researchers in the field of synthetic chemistry. His research interests are focused towards the discovery of new catalytic methods for the transformation of inherently inert and affordable organic materials into complex products with high added value. His lectures will open the series "Frontiers in Science" which, organized by the Singular Research Centers Network, will bring   contributions by prestigious international researchers to Campus Vida.

On Monday 21, 17 h, Prof. Gaunt will give the lecture "New copper-catalyzed reactions" at the CIQUS seminar room. The second lecture will be held tomorrow, Tuesday 22, at 12 h, under the title "New directions in palladium-catalyzed CH activation".
