This Friday, January 24th, CiQUS will host a scientific meeting with researchers from CICECO – Aveiro Institute of Materials, the largest Portuguese institute in the field of materials science and engineering. This event highlights CiQUS’s commitment to strengthening international alliances with leading research institutions, fostering collaboration in both scientific research and training.
CICECO, a center of excellence at the University of Aveiro (Portugal), focuses on advanced and sustainable materials with applications in health, energy, and the environment. Its multidisciplinary approach aligns with several CiQUS research lines, including supramolecular chemistry, biomaterials, and nanotechnology, paving the way for future synergies between the two centers.
The meeting, titled Exploring Synergies, features presentations from researchers at both institutions who will share their progress on topics such as synthetic chemistry in biological environments, porous materials, and nanomedicine. Additionally, opportunities for funding collaborative projects and researcher mobility will be discussed. The event is coordinated by CiQUS researcher Manuel Souto and Manuel Melle-Franco from CICECO.
