The group of Prof. Javier Montenegro is seeking for a Postdoctoral associate with strong background in Chemical Biology/Biochemistry/Immunology. This is an excellent opportunity to join the Montenegro lab and work in a multidisciplinary team in a great challenge for the development of new peptide vectors for nucleic acid immunotherapy.
The aim of the project is to identify new peptide and structural motifs to control the membrane translocation nucleic acids (e.g., mRNA) for the development of vaccines against cancer.
Description
The applicant will be involved in the biochemical characterization of novel membrane penetrating and bioactive molecules, including transfection, internalization pathways, localization, function, etc. In vivo experiments towards nucleic acids cancer inmunotherapy will be targeted in this approach.
Research Center: CIQUS, University of Santiago de Compostela, Spain.
Research Supervisor: Prof. Javier Montenegro.
Requirements
We seek motivated candidates with initiative, creativity and team-working ability and with a PhD in Chemical Biology, Biochemistry, Immunotherapy, Molecular Biology.
Experience in nucleic acid-based immunotherapy will be highly considered.
Good communication skills and proficiency in written and spoken English are essential.
