The group of Dr. Javier Montenegro is seeking for a Postdoctoral associate with strong background in ORGANIC - SUGAR CHEMISTRY. This is an excellent opportunity to join the project DYNAP, a cutting-edge research funded by the ERC-Starting Grant.
The aim of DYNAP is to identify, at the molecular level, the minimal topological and structural motifs that govern the membrane translocation of short peptides. A covalent reversible bond strategy will be developed for the synthesis of self-adaptive penetrating peptides (adaptamers) for targeted delivery.
DESCRIPTION
The applicant will work on the development of novel membrane penetrating molecules by implementing dynamic supramolecular and polymer chemistry.

We seek outstanding individuals with initiative, creativity and team-working ability and with a PhD in Organic Chemistry.

Training in sugar chemistry, as well as in peptide and supramolecular chemistry, will be highly considered.

Good communication skills and proficiency in written and spoken English are essential.
