At ECMI 2016 there will be several parallel minisymposia. A minisymposium normally consists of 4-6 short talks (30-20 min.) connected with a specific subject. In order to submit a minisymposium proposal, please provide the following information:
- Title
- Organizer(s)
- Affiliation and Contact Information of the Organizer(s)
- Short description
- Motivation/Relevance to ECMI
- Confirmed speakers
- Other proposed speakers
- Industrial participation
The proposal can be written in a free format and must be submitted through the Online Conference Service (OCS) no later than 30th November 2015 11th January 2016. Step-by-step instructions with screenshots for various tasks of the OCS can be found here.
The notification of acceptance will be given as soon as possible and in any case no later than 20th January 2016.
The final selection of minisymposia will be based on scientific excellence, industrial relevance and quality of confirmed/proposed speakers.
Instructions for accepted minisymposia
1. The minisymposium organizers should let the other participants know that the proposed minisymposium has been accepted and they should do the below in order to submit their communications:
1.a.- All the participants of the minisymposium must submit by 18th February 2016 3rd March 2016 a PDF file of the corresponding abstract via OCS system selecting the title of the specific minisymposium. Please use the following LaTeX Template. Once the contribution has been accepted the authors will be required to upload both the LaTeX source and the compiled PDF by 8th May 2016. This document will be published in the Book of Abstracts.
1.b.- All the participants should communicate the title of their talks to the organizers so they can submit all the information concerning the minisymposium.
2.- The organizers must communicate by e-mail (ecmi2016@usc.es) the definitive list of confirmed speakers by 18th February 2016. If they want, they can suggest the distribution of the talks in the sessions. We remind them that each session of the minisymposium consists of 4-6 talks and a time slot of 120 minutes.
3.- The organizers should submit by 8th of May 2016 a short description of the minisymposium which will be included in the Book of Abstracts of ECMI 2016. Please use the following LaTeX Template; download here a PDF file sample.
